Time to say goodbye

This is our last post. After 9 months, it’s time to say goodbye. We had a great time in Sweden, but now we have to go back home. France and Spainistan is waiting for us. We hope the next volunteers will continue with the blog (and the videoblog!). At least until October, the blog will be in stand-by. Or maybe we are killing it right now. Anyway,… tack för allt, Sverige!

Tip #4: Varberg, the spa city

Now that I’ve finished my project, but I still will be a few days in Sweden, I have much free time. That’s why I’ve decided to visit Varberg, a city not far from Kungsbacka. It takes about 20 minutes from Åsa by car or train, although it is nearly an hour by bus. Anyway, I went by bus because I can take the busline 777 for free using the Västträffik monthly card for Kungsbacka.

The death of Lagom

Our EVS comes to the end, but we don’t want to say goodbye without showing the music video for the hit of the summer: Å La La.  As you have been able to see during the last months, we have been working in some songs under the name of Lagom. Now, the project is sadly over.

10 good and bad things of my EVS in Kungbacka

It seems like yesterday when I was landing on Landvetter to start my project in Kungsbacka… but it’s been 9 months! After all this time is the moment to reflect and find the good and bad points of this EVS.

Take care with your bag

This week we have been the leaders of an amazing camp where youngsters around 15 years old made a shortfilm since the idea until the première. On Monday we start thinking about the idea and writing the screenplay.

Tip #3: Tjolöholms slott

Castles are not usual in Sweden, at least as in other countries as Spain or France. However, there is one in Kungsbacka. Tjolöholms Castle is in Sweden but doen’t looks like Swedish.

Videoblog #13: Sommarbussen till Sundsjön

Do you want to enjoy a great summer at Sundsjön? If you join us, you will be able to swim, fish, canoenig and have fun in a fantastic campsite. A shuttle bus departs from Kungsbacka Station from the 16th of June until the 11th of July. You can meet us in front of the Pressbyrån at 9:00. The departure from Sundsjön is at 15:00.

Tip #2: Fjärås Bräcka

Something that marks Sweden are all its natural areas. For that reason, it’s not weird that one of the major attractions in Kungsbacka is one of its natural reserves: Fjärås Bräcka, an inmmense ice ridge formation.

Tip #1: Äskhult by

It’s true that Kungsbacka has no many touristic places to visit. Of course you have several ways to enjoy your days in the kommun, but maybe you will ask yourself: “is there something I can visit there?”. The answer is yes.

Videoblog #12: School’s Out

On June the 13th, it was time for the graduation party of this year at Kungsbacka square! It was the celebration of the school’s out and many youngsters could have fun in a sober environment . The community created this event few years ago to prevent youngsters about drinking alcohol as a way of partying.
