Videoblog #12: School’s Out

On June the 13th, it was time for the graduation party of this year at Kungsbacka square! It was the celebration of the school’s out and many youngsters could have fun in a sober environment . The community created this event few years ago to prevent youngsters about drinking alcohol as a way of partying.

Videoblog #11: Kungsbacka ungdomsråd

Last Monday we had a talk with the Youth Council group involved in Kungsbacka municipality. They explain us what they manage to do in the group they create last August! There are around 13 youngsters involved in the group who meet every Mondays at Elektronen around 5pm. They work  to make young people’s voices heard in the community.

Pride of being myself

Last week, the West Pride took place in Göteborg. In theory, it is a LGTBQ Festival, but in fact it is a festival for everybody. The West Pride is, probably, the “most colorful festival”, as themself says. Maybe they says that because of the 250 rainbow flags they put around the town.

Happy Heat Wave!

Finally the sun has come officialy to Sweden.  Last week we could suffer a warm and unexpected surprise! Yes, here in Sweden, a huge heat wave which made everyone barefoot and bare arms! Värmebölja! The last week looked more like summer than spring. We reached 27ºC!

Videoblog #9: Queer Up! 2014

Last week we were involved in the Queer Up! Festival. The event happened in several places in Kungsbacka with many workshops, live music, exhibitions, debate and so on. We tried to film as much as we can and here is the result of a great week.

Last weekend I spend the day in Göteborg. I was several time in the city, so I needed something new to do. Thinking about it (because, yes… sometimes I think), I found a place to visit: Röda Sten. I was there first in January but when I got the main door… it was closed!
