Videoblog #12: School’s Out

On June the 13th, it was time for the graduation party of this year at Kungsbacka square! It was the celebration of the school’s out and many youngsters could have fun in a sober environment . The community created this event few years ago to prevent youngsters about drinking alcohol as a way of partying.

Videoblog #7: Disco in Åsa

Some youngsters organized a disco in Åsa few weeks ago. The theme for the party was The Circus… but sadly just the organizers wore costumes. It wasn’t so full as we expected, but the kids had fun playing games and enjoying with there friends. There are usually discos in Åsa Fritidsgård, so if you want to go just stay in touch with the youth center or check the Ung i Kungsbacka’s blog.

#EnDagTillsammans

Today has been different in Kungsbacka. Why? Because today a lot of people has walked together for a Sweden where everyone is entitled to feel safe and included and where we can live together – on equal terms. The demonstration has been peaceful and there were absolutely no room for any form of hate or negative chants or message.

Julgodis at Löftadalens

Wednesday 11th, 6pm. We have been invited to a Christmas activity in Löftadalens folkhögskola, the place where we are living during our EVS. We enter to the kitchen and there are several students there. The objective: making julgodis.

Musikhjälpen 2013 at Elektronen

Last Saturday, Elektronen hosted a charity concert supporting Musikhjälpen 2013. A lot of venues around the country supported also this great initiative programming their own events and concerts, from Kiruna to Malmö… All money collected for Musikhjälpen goes to Radiohjälpen and is earmarked for this year’s theme: Every girl has the right to survive her own pregnancy. Musikhjälpen is a collaboration between P3 Sveriges Radio, SVT and Radiohjälpen.
